God fills the empty spaces...

the world is fallen, there is no perfection to be found. sometimes one or BOTH parents a child is born to are self-serving and unable to love and sacrifice for the their child. how painful to be that child.

a friend of the family is trying desperately to keep his baby girls safe, and close to him, because their mother is one of those people who is a lost sheep, and whose actions can only hurt her own children.

my husbands mother has alienated all of her children, her 16 year old daughter ran away from home and came to me looking for a safe place in an unsafe world. my husband and his sister are two such children whose parents, both of them in this case, can only seem to make decisions that hurt their children.

But through it all I believe that God is protecting those little girls, just like he protected my husband and his sister. now they are both young adults, and they know the truth. and they see how selfish their own parents are, and its painful, but they both have found safe places to hide in the storm. I am so glad to have been a safe place for both of them at different times. and many people in my life have filled the gaps left by imperfect relations. God sees the little ones who are hurting, whose parents dont love them sacrificially.....and he sends people to fill up those empty hurting places.

sometimes if a childs mother is unfit, you notice how many other women, aunts, grammas, and women who arent blood relations come along shower mother love on the innocent.

I guess thats what it means when the bible says that God is faithful, because this world is nothing short of a hurricane, and when you look back over the storms, you find that he held you in the calm of the eye through it all. not completely away from the chaos, in fact right in the middle, but protected all the same.
